A bit about the book
Scarlett March lives to hunt the Fenris– the werewolves that took her eye when she was defending her sister Rosie from a brutal attack. Armed with a razor-sharp hatchet and blood-red cloak, Scarlett is an expert at luring and slaying the wolves. She’s determined to protect other young girls from a grisly death, and her raging heart will not rest until every single wolf is dead.
Rosie March once felt her bond with her sister was unbreakable. Owing Scarlett her life, Rosie hunts fiercely alongside her. Now Rosie dreams of a life beyond the wolves and finds herself drawn to Silas, a young woodsman who is deadly with an ax– but loving him means betraying her sister and has the potential to destroy all they’ve worked for. What I thought
Good book. I really liked the Little Red Riding Hood twist, thought that was brilliant thinking. Scarlett and Rosie had a great relationship, Scarlett was a bit obsessed with killing the werewolves, and Rosie stuck by her no matter what.
Scarlett was strong and confident when it came to fighting, even though she had been attacked time after time by the fenris (werewolves), it never put her off course and she never backed down, that's why I loved her character so much.
Rosie was a little bit more sensitive and willing to stick by her sister through thick and thin if that's what Scarlett wanted. Hunting was Scarlett's life but Rosie wanted more than that, but Rosie always thought she owed Scarlett her life (and in a sense she did), but that didn't mean Rosie's life had to be dedicated to only hunting, she needed something more for herself.
Then there's Silas, basically the boy next door type. He has also stuck by Scarlett with her hunting obsession, and as her hunting partner he is willing to help her any way he can.
I liked how you also got romance in this book as well (you can't beat a bit of romance), and I didn't think it was rushed at all. This is another book that has what every paranormal reader wants, hunter's, werewolves and romance. So all in all a good book. Thanks to Lynsey at ukbooktours for sending me another good book, I really appreciate it! :-)
