A bit about the book
For Janie and Cabe, real life is getting tougher than the dreams. Disturbing things are happening at Fieldridge High, yet nobody's talking. When Janie taps into a classmate's violent nightmares, the case finally breaks open - but nothing goes as planned. Not even close. Janie's in way over her head, and Cabe's shocking behaviour has grave consequences for them both.
And if that isn't bad enough, Janie has discovered Martha Stubin's journals, and what she learns through them chills her to the bone. Not only is her fate as a Dream Catcher sealed, but what's to come is so much darker than she'd ever feared . . .
What I thought
Great sequel to Wake. In this second book Janie is learning how to control her dreams more and is starting to get the hang of it. Her and Cabe have another assignment for the police to do involving, once again, their high school, only this time it's the teachers. Plus she's got a lot of personal issues to sort out involving her dream catching.
I thought this book was quite deep, especially with the issues involving her high school teachers and students. Once you've read it I think you will understand what I mean, because when I thought about it stuff like that really does happen in real life. It is quite a short book but that doesn't stop it from being great and doesn't everybody love Janie and Cabe, they are a match made in heaven and they only have each other so, to me, that made them lovable characters. I can't wait to read Gone, which unfortunately, is the last book in the series. I will definitely miss Janie and Cabel :)
